Oman Energy and Water Conference & Exhibition: 22-24 April 2019

Greetings from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Muscat!
I am writing to you about the upcoming Oman Energy and Water Conference & Exhibition 2019, scheduled to take place from 22 to 24 April inclusive. This international event is dedicated to the energy and water sectors in the Sultanate and includes a variety of industries such as water and wastewater, power generation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, transmission and distribution.
The event aims to showcase Oman’s major power and water projects and to support the government’s long-term energy and water infrastructure planning. In addition, the event attracts public, private and foreign investment and presents numerous business opportunities, fulfilling the rising demand for these resources. The exhibition provides individuals, companies, and industry professionals with the opportunity to learn about the latest innovative products, tools, and technologies that facilitate the production and distribution process. Moreover, the conference serves as a venue for knowledge-sharing, gaining insights into current issues and developments in both sectors, learning best practice and establishing new business relations.
For more information on the conference, please visit: http://www.energyandwateroman.com/.
During the event, the Embassy is offering space in the Holland Pavilion to Dutch companies for a contribution of €500,-. This space is available to your company to exhibit and distribute information regarding your products and/or services, and to meet potential business partners. In addition to the Holland Pavilion, the Embassy will host several side-events during the event, including:
- An official opening of the Holland Pavilion by the Ambassador
- Business networking reception at the Ambassador’s Residence
- Match-making session with Omani counterparts
- A visit to Sohar to explore the business climate and meet with existing Dutch and Omani companies there
- Omani schools award ceremony, in collaboration with MEDRC.
In the same week the Embassy’s annual King’s Day reception will take place, to which we also gladly invite you.
To provide you with more information about the water and energy sectors in Oman, attached is a short summary of the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus report for Oman, produced by Ernst & Young. In this report, you will find an overview and analysis of the current state of WEF Nexus in Oman, identifying possible investment opportunities for Dutch companies, and the engagement channels that might be utilised.
If you are interested in participating in the Holland Pavilion, kindly contact me by email (Eiman.alhajhussen@minbuza.nl or MUS-EA@minbuza.nl) or by telephone (+968 9798 4260) no later than Friday 22 March 2019.
